Our reinforced aluminium frame is designed to hold and protect 5-6 of your most used cards. Before we hand pick and post each wallet we test this function to ensure it works as intended. It's recommended to load 6 cards unless you plan on storing multiple bank/credit cards.
These cards are slightly thicker due to text and number engraving and can result in forceful flicking, ultimately leading to a damaged wallet. Please load no more than 5 cards in this situation in order to avoid damage to the flicking mechanism.

I recently switched from my trusty old stack carbon with the flip levers on the bottom which has taken a beating for nearly two years and was just starting to get a bit ragged around the edges and had some scratches on the corners from being dropped. This time I've gone for the premium stack carbon and have found that where previously I could fit 5 flat cards and one embossed card, I had to remove one card as otherwise it was too hard to pull down the little slider on the side. I've also found that the cards don't flick out as far and are less spread out that the previous version. The premium version looks a little bit nicer but it's taken a few tries to get the leather stretched enough for the clasp to close with and access RFID card and a Tile Slim in the inside pockets and 5 notes in the billfold.

I appreciate your feedback regarding the new mechanism swap. We found that it was more durable over time, and I actually thought it had the capacity to hold six cards more easily vs. the previous version. You will find that the anti-slip mechanism will loosen slightly over time as the material moulds to the edges of your cards. If you use five cards for a little while, try adding the sixth card later down the track. I have found that six fit easily in mine after a few months of use (I use a combination of embossed and non-embossed cards).
